About us
The Rehabilitation Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation that is an expert on developing rehabilitation services for the working age population. Offices are located in Malminkartano district in Western Helsinki.The Rehabilitation Foundation is partially funded by Finland’s Slot Machine Association and its partners and customers comprise a large and diverse group of organisations. The Foundation employs approximately 50 people.
Our objectives are
- to develop new operating models for rehabilitation work to meet the needs of various population groups
- to study and assess the efficacy of current practices
- to study and assess the effectiveness of the rehabilitation system
- to provide current information on rehabilitation to both experts and the greater public
- to organise further training and education in the field of rehabilitation
- to improve the working and functional capacity of rehabilitation patients
responsibility, valuation, dynamism, transparency and creativity.
International connections
The Rehabilitation Foundation is a member of the Rehabilitation International Finnish Committee (RIFI), which links it to Rehabilitation International.The Foundation is also a member of the Finnish National Committee of the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW) and actively involved in the international networks of several EU projects.
